I can't say that it scared me,
That it filled my eyes with awe ; In truth, 'twas somewhat pleasant,
That ghost—if ghost I saw ; 'Twas a face I'd known far North, Fan,
Two teasing eyes I'd seen That gazed up, laughing into mine,
From out the ocean's green ; Two red lips pouted up, Fan,
